(Bremerton, WA) – The Kitsap Children’s Museum is excited to announce its new weekend home at Enoch City Arts Studio, 714 Lebo Blvd, Bremerton, WA. Events will begin on April 16th, 2022.

When asked about the new collaboration between Kitsap Children’s Museum and Enoch City Arts, director, Ann Bonner, shared "It's so wonderful to see different arts organizations come together to serve the community. It's important to have a variety of places where people can visit to participate in art and to have creative spaces."

Kitsap Children’s Museum is a nonprofit organization with the mission of serving the needs and interests of children and families of Kitsap County by providing exhibits and programs that stimulate curiosity and motivate learning. Since its inception, Kitsap Children’s Museum has hosted drop-in activities at local festivals and farmer’s markets in Kitsap County over the past two years. The ambition and focus on the community led to the procuring of a monthly weekend space.

The past two years were full of change brought on by the pandemic and, like most organizations, Kitsap Children’s Museum was not immune to the effects of the global disruption. Instead of putting the museum work on hold, the Board of Directors and members of the Advisory Board spent time in zoom meetings finalizing our non-profit status and registering as a charitable institution with the state of Washington. The obvious next step was finding a weekend home so that KCM could begin offering regular programming to children and families in the county.

KCM will be hosting their flagship event Meet the Museum on Saturday, April 16th, 2022, from 10 AM to 2 PM, at the Enoch City Arts: Studio. Admission will be $10 per family.Children will be able to explore the theme “Celebrate Spring with The Very Hungry Caterpillar” through hands-on activities in art, science, music, and creative play.
